I am sure that the spiritual laws operate like the natural laws, and indeed are fundamentally natural laws. I couldn't bring myself to believe in them otherwise. Arbitrary constructions don't fit in to the universe-concept that seems to be...hard to explain, it's kind of like a well-fitting garment that I didn't just wake up and put on one day. I really like this line of thinking. If I were to write an article on this topic it would be nearly identical in content to much of what you wrote. I particularly liked your first sentence. That is a truth that I have held for a very long time.

I can really see your thoughts developing. It is exciting to me that my thoughts have been developing in a similar direction. I am very excited to hang out with you and have some good discussion after finals are over.

You struck me here: "people can find forms of enlightenment ... none of these good things are negated in any way."

I feel the poorer for a lack of a mindful life, whether or not it involves a deity or its rules.
