Texas Voters Approve Ban on Gay Marriage
what a fucking tragedy.
can't say that I'm surprised... just always hopeful.
way to let me down again texas. it's nice to know that we're still #1 in state executions, but we're too moral to approve of same-sex civil unions. we can regulate love and death. how thoughtful and righteous of us ( Read more... )

on a positive note, the amendment is worded so that it won't actually ban gay or poly marriage, but technically does ban all straight marriage.
1. marriage is defined as 1 boy and 1 girl
2. prohibits institutions similar or IDENTICAL to marriage
3. Marriage happens to be identical to itself.
4. 2 boys or 2 girls or 5 boys and 4 girls can be argued not similar enough to ban.

to bad about all the common law and out-of-state marriages though...
