I named him George (the fish, not the towels), and it's been fishylove ever since. When I went out to get George a new plant, the irrational part of me (that is, most of me) said, "You clearly need more fish ( Read more... )

...That's pretty horrible. I'm surprised you'd actually admit to something like that. If you're a responsible person, you'll improve your fish's conditions right away.

you should! it's right off the B train, grand street station. stay on Grand street and you'll see the place... it's maybe two blocks away from the train and I think the awning says 99 cent store, or maybe "trading". I wish I had exact directions, but just find the store that has a lot of red tassels and chinese ornaments for sale by the door (inside the store), go in further and you should see a container of fish bags on the right.

I know next to zip about fish but you totally made me want to get one. I mention I know next to zip because I can't give any advice or "Oh yes you should do this," but they seem nice and healthy and I'm sure they're much happier now, I can't imagine plastic bags are a nice place to live.

ETA: Ha! I bought one today! I couldn't help it. Do you recommend any sites?

Awesome!! Sorry this is so late...

ultimatebettas.com is by far the best site. It's technically a forum, but it has answers for everything-- plus a gallery. :)
