Je m'ennuie.

I am sleepy and depress-y and I need something to do that doesn't involve napping. Then I remembered that I never posted most of my Montreal pictures from last May. I have hundreds of them, so I'll just select some at random.

Never been to Montreal?

Definitely heaven. I think I'm going again this summer.

I hate winter almost everywhere, so Montreal would kick my ass. New York winters would be marginally okay except you have to walk EVERYWHERE, even when there is car-exhaust slush practically up to your knees. And the weird wind tunnels because of all the tall buildings, ugh.

Don't you live in Halifax, though? I guess it'd be better there, geographically. I almost ended up going to school there, so I remember checking the climate there.
Do I remember it? no.

yeah, I was initially pushing for nscad. I had to leave more or less immediately, though, 'cause my home situation was a wreck. Timewise, it was much easier to move to NYC.

I'd like to!

Heh, it took me several years to get used to OUR winters (well, any winters), since I moved here from Florida. I love Canada but most of it would probably begin killing me in November.

The pictures don't even begin to cover it. Even the way it smells is beautiful.

I mean, I am a diehard New Yorker and I was speechless the first day.

I like.
I like the colorfulness of the houses (row homes?) in the first photo. Is that common there?

Yes, in some neighborhoods (er, neighbourhoods). A lot of the houses are very quaint and interesting.
