Well, it's been a fairly eventful week for me. My old Alberta license expires on Sunday, so since I couldn't get back to get it renewed, and since I'll probably end up getting a car in Ontario anyways, I decided to trade it in to get my Ontario G license. So, Niagara Falls was fun.

Left bright and early 9AM or so, and got in by about 10:30. Went down to the falls area, and decided to take the Maid of the Mist tour (Video). Not bad, and fun to get up close to the falls.

Hopefully there's less chance of this screwing up, but I just came back from an "interview", and will be working in Waterloo in the fall, at Sandvine. Name sound familiar? Well, lots of stuff going on the last little bit, so here goes everything:

• Jobs Hunting: Apple is giving me an interview with a guy in Ottawa. I don't really want to work there, though. Ottawa is a nice place, and I wouldn't mind going back at some point to work, but for now, I think I'd prefer working in a place where I've got friends around, ( Read more... )

Well, apparently there was a slight problem with the rankings, and a little mixup. So I WON'T be getting the job in Vancouver, but Apple is now going to see if they can fill me in on one of their unfilled positions. So now I have to wait and see if they'll match me with one of them, or if I need to go back to applying for jobs.

Well, the suspense is up: I got a job for the fall. It's probably not the most exciting from the ones I applied for, but it's a job. It's with Apple, in Vancouver, so it is still a big name company, although only an offshoot office of like 25 people. They work on the iWork suite there, so I guess I would be doing something with them. I guess I ( Read more... )
