I tried, Remus. I went to Shingleton and I tried to get him to see that she's innocent but he wouldn't bloody listen no matter what I said. Kept calling her an animal...I couldn't do anything. I'm sorry.

It's all right, Harry. You tried. It's more than many others would have done. I suppose it was useless to hope a werewolf would get any better treatment in a situation like this.
