DeSu suddenly got a lot darker to me.
I don't understand how this took so long for me to realize, dear God, their relationship is so FULL OF ANGST AND WIN. I'm usually so into this that I can find angst anywhere, SO HOW COME I DIDN'T SEE IT FOR REALS IN MY OTP UNTIL NOW? gawd what's wrong with me.

Denmark loves Sweden, Sweden is totally oblivious and just thinks Den is a mofo.
Den was in love with Sweden since the Viking days.
Sweden didn't notice until... recently. Like, 1800's. Mmm Napoleonic wars.
My headcanon now:
Denmark slowly fell in love with him. Sweden noticed early, knew all along. Liked him a little but well. Lol. Not rly.
and well then shit happened FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT and denmark was like "woops" a lot
and then.....well. everyone died! THE END
Oh okay so not really but yeah. They friended and stuff in the end but DENMARK TOTALLY DIDN'T FORGET HIS TRUE LOVE. AND HE NEVER WILL. ;w;
Fun fact:
In both my headcanons, Denmark calls Sweden Su-chan.
Reason? Well based on the fact that Finland doesn't really enjoy being a waifu, I guess Denmark would just... gay that nickname up. Oh how I love him so ♥
