It's hard to predict exactly how that remaining 30% of eligible voters would have, in fact, voted. I think it stands to reason, just as you suggest, that many of those people, if not the majority of them, would have voted for non-Conservative candidates. Would it be enough to deliver Canada from a minority government ( ... )

okay, so this is on...

today, the Governor General, Michaëlle Jean, came back to help this crisis.

i wiki'd the role of the G.G. and apparently, the G.G. owns the title of Commander-in-Chief of the militia in the name of the sovereign.

THEORETICALLY.... couldn't the Governor General take control of the militia, declare this a police state, and impose a whole new government structure under the name of the Queen?

and additionally THEORETICALLY.... what if the populace supported the government overthrow?

hmmmmm....
