Article 5.
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

I guess the next move by the Bush Administration would be to ask for the termination of the US as a member nation, eh?

There's a chunk of the population that thinks the UN is evil incarnate, so unfortunately he might get a good bit of support for doing so. Enough to outweigh the opposition? Not sure.
