Remember the Christmas card thing I was doing last year? I wrote part of yours and then realized I didn't know you that well - or at least not well enough to pull off personalized fanart since I was having trouble remembering chat fandoms. I was too embarrassed to ask, so I just started paying extra attention whenever you said anything in the hopes of picking up hints, and then I realized oh my gosh, Fel is a super neat and moe person however did I miss that!
I have to admit, "Yoda in a Gant suit" is either the best or the most entertaining description of myself I have heard in a while, and I'm not exactly sure it can't be both. Still, it is touching to click for a meme and get unsolicited praise, so I don't really know how to react except saying thank you!
The game thing is just as much about me. With the double whammy of playing mostly on the 360 and that I don't gravitate as much to RPGs anymore, I feel that pretty often in chat. (Doesn't stop me, but I feel it!) About the most I could hope for is that more people would try Mass Effect or Fallout, which I could conceivably see happening, but I'm not holding my breath for Halo or any other shooter.
Although I imagine that if I was ever talking about just achievements in some games, you would totally understand the mentality because trophies. I was actually going to try and pick up FF13 before the year ends and get try for the Long Gui/complete inventory achievements, finish off the game.
Sad confession: I mostly use them to gauge how far I am through the game, on account of them being inevitably handed out at major plot events. And now I am sad because apparently there is not much more to get through in Arkham Asylum after Poison Ivy.
How far through the main game or how far through 100%? 100% was pretty much spot on with Vesperia, I know that much. Arkham Asylum, as I recall, was beat the game, beat it on hard, find everything, and get gold on all the challenges.
I actually like it when they hand out achievements/trophies for doing unnecessary things that may or may not be cool. Like leaping off a cliff to stab someone, or blowing up two tanks with one shot, that sort of thing.
