Wow. I love all your vids - your editing is just superb - and this one is no exception. I absolutely loved some of the clips you interwove - especially Zak/Lee and Zak's funeral/the pyre on Earth.
Thanks a lot for your lovely comments. :) To me Zak's story has always been a huge unresolved thing where pilot's painful memories/guilt and consequentially many of their relationship problems were rooted, so it seemed appropriate to draw certain parallels in this vid, especially since its main subject is death and personal transformation through the acceptance of loss and burning of the old bridges.
Thank you! I'm very glad you enjoyed watching; this vid was probably the hardest one to finish for me because of my generally bad mood over BSG during the last couple of weeks.
I'm certain we'll get to see more space battles in the upcoming final episodes, if not pilots...
Wow, that was something! Your vids always have such energy! I liked opening with Kara. Love Kara. I wasn’t sure what the beginning was about but I knew they were together. That’s all that matters. :-) Was that a PDA with their pictures?
You brought back Starbuck! I remember her! I know she must come back for a reappearance at the end. At least I hope so. I particularly like the shot of her in the center of the maelstrom.
And shippy vid with new footage! Even in the middle of such an energetic vid, I liked the quiet moments. Kara putting on her knee brace, the kids jogging. The private lives of true soldiers. Part of me thinks they should just go out fighting together. :-)
And the editing at minute 1:44 (Lee at the wall) totally impressed me. So fast! Go you! I watched this one lots!

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed DB! :) I love Kara as well and I think all the positive changes in her are wonderful. And she's almost there, she's almost ready to actively deal with her feelings for Lee. *fingers crossed*

I wanted it to look like it using some effects. Not sure it worked though.

Part of me still thinks they'll die fighting side by side. And I even think I could be ok with that, as long as they're together.

The private lives of true soldiers.Yes, one of the things I was aiming for in this vid was to show pilots' ordinary lives and the weight of loss that never left them since the attacks on the colonies, even since Zak's funeral - compared to the almost painfully keen feeling of raw life in survival, that they guiltily experience when they are

I hope this vid helps some of you to remember the show you used to enjoy wholeheartedly Yes, it did help me remember! Thank you! I needed that after watching the latest episode. :)
I know, I am late to this video... I am sorry! I have had a lot of RL things going on lately.
Your editing, as always, blows me away. I was particularly thrilled to see you parallel Zak and Lee in the bedroom/field scenes with Kara. Wow! I don't think I've seen anyone else do that.
I think the message of the vid is very pertinent to BSG and I really enjoyed the action sequences. But I also liked some of your more unusual shot choices, like the one of Kara easing the knee bandage on. Shots like that made the whole thing feel so much more intimate, like we were living with the pilots, which is how I used to feel.
Wow! A feedback from you is the most pleasantly surprising thing I could get. I thought you don't watch BSG vids anymore…
I am sorry! I have had a lot of RL things going on lately.
No need to apologize, K. I’m thrilled you enjoyed watching the vid. I hope your work changes are proving to live up to your expectations. :)

That’s a direction where my mind’s been inclined to wander to explore L/K since Kara’s bonfire on Earth. I think this silent funeral that she had to go through all by herself is too symbolic and opens too many opportunities not to use them in vidding just as in canon’s character (relationship) development itself.

thought you don't watch BSG vids anymore… I will always watch your vids! It's true that I don't watch many these days, mainly because I'm heartsick over the show, but I think the universe offers a lot of beautiful material for vidders--especially ones as talented as you, and you've once again woven something beautiful out of this.
I hope your work changes are proving to live up to your expectations. :) Thank you. I have two weeks left at work and am getting very nervous but am excited too.
I think this silent funeral that she had to go through all by herself is too symbolic and opens too many opportunities not to use them in vidding Yes! I did think that while watching it, even though I didn't find it very effective on the show (surrounding context annoyed me), I think it's amazingly beautiful material and very poignant and it's exciting to see it being used in vids.
I’m still living with pilots, I'm jealous! ;) I feel so disconnected from them and that makes me sad. :(

In that case I hope you'll watch Diamonds as well as Illusion & Dream one day. There are few people who can fully appreciate the story of Lee's relationship with Laura Roslin (because both characters are really complex and often tend to have different opinions on problems at hand, I guess) and I know you're one of them.

Drastic changes in life often require tremendous courage, I admire yours; it would be so much easier to keep to the beaten track and feel partly unsatisfied.
It makes me wonder if I could find mine again by vidding... maybe I could? I'm sure you could, I don't think my love for the best pairing I've ever seen on television (and arguably the best male and female characters) could ever die. Yours can't too, at least not for Lee Adama. So when it's all over and even if the finale is disappointing after all, I believe you'll be able to come back to that love of the first three seasons in a few months. Time
