Defining reality...

Mar 15, 2009 12:31

You know what, guys? Let’s draw the fine line between what’s real and what’s not. I think the streams of bile and nervousness currently flooding this fandom are bordering on the ridiculous... Stop for a moment and think how absurd it is that some Q&A session’s being discussed and obsessed over much more than the actual episode we watched last ( Read more... )

To steal Lee's words: I think that following your heart is never a mistake. :)

Now, my heart is telling me they'll deliver this ending in a way that we're all be crying our eyes out and regretting many things we said earlier. I might be wrong, but I sure as hell am going to enjoy these four days left of the time that my show's still on air.

I loved this episode so much, and I am so excited to see the finale now. I have been really careful with what I have been reading (I sooo do not want to be spoiled) so I have not read anything about Katee's interviews. Katee is delightful, but her interviews can be misleading sometimes, so, I think I will wait until I have seen the finale before I read any more interviews.

The flashbacks in this ep were amazing. I am not sure where they are leading, but I can't wait to find out!

Oh dear! That was exactly my reaction last Saturday until I read the inty and other people's reactions. So please, Pleease stay away from that video and recaps, believe me you don't want to get your mood ruined, you don't want to start going nuts over something that Katee said that resulted in many of the fans having nearly a heart attack. Especially since it's bullshit and doesn't support anything we've seen on screen so far.

The flashbacks in this ep were amazing.Word. How great was that scene of L/K's first meeting? Wow. I think I was grinning like an idiot during my first watch and LOLing over Kara's flirting notes in her voice and a tinge of sweet awkwardness between the three of them... And this strange feeling of deja-vu when she opened the door and looked at Lee for the first time had me remembering the miniseries when Lee came back alive and they laughed, shared some jokes and then stopped dead serious, frightened and amazed at what they saw reflected ( ... )

Thanks for the heads up....I really don't need the angst at this stage. I just want to see how things end, then.....we'll see.

We have been misled and fed many red herrings before by this show, and particularly by katee at RDM'S request....(remember maelstrom?) so I can do without reading any of her interviews at this stage.

I am still optimistic.

"And this strange feeling of deja-vu when she opened the door and looked at Lee for the first time had me remembering the miniseries when Lee came back alive and they laughed, shared some jokes and then stopped dead serious, frightened and amazed at what they saw reflected in each other's eyes."

Oh, yes. What a good catch. I hope that we see more in the finale. What did you make of the pidgeon scene?

Oh yeah, if there's one thing we know for sure, it is that Katee is a pretty damn good liar and RDM is a frakking sadist. =)

I'm sure this pigeon thing is a metaphor of K/L relationship and their bad cycle. So the only question I can come up with now is something along the lines: 'Will Lee be able to set her free and is setting her free equal to letting her go or not?' I won't know what to make of it until I see the rest of the flashbacks (I'm sure we'll see more of them in the second part of DB). The pigeon scene was after their dinner at Kara's place, we need to know what happened there. And I'm sure it has something to do with pilots natural connection and attraction that engulfed them right from the moment Kara opened the door, left them bewildered with 'frak, we're totally screwed' written all over their faces.

Hi hi Mariks - I saw your link to this on skiffy and wanted to give a big thank you. Thank you for you having the sense to remain objective and calm AND keeping faith in the story of our pilots. I carry my own shame for letting any of this mess interfere with my enjoyment of the show but have long since gotten over it.

Once my head was clear I realized what broke my heart most was that this storm overshadowed what I believe was an amazing and beautiful episode. I think we got something very important in the flashbacks that will play a much bigger role in tying the story together in the last ep.

So make your own conclusions, trust your own eyes and remember that RDM and David Eick have repeatedly made it perfectly clear that the ending, tragic as it might be, is all about Lee and Kara in a romantic kind of sense.
Yes! *hugs* You are awesome and thank you again!

Hey Fi! Thanks for joining the ranks of those who try to rely on sheer logic. :)

I carry my own shame for letting any of this mess interfere with my enjoyment of the show but have long since gotten over it.

Oh, believe me I was in a mess myself when I first read the reports of that interview and especially some people's reactions. It took me about a day to clear my head and calm down.

Once my head was clear I realized what broke my heart most was that this storm overshadowed what I believe was an amazing and beautiful episode

Exactly.

I still expect Kara to tell Lee how she's been feeling about him for a very long time and act on it by choosing him over her 'destiny' her mission or whatever other bullshit might seem more important. If it doesn't happen, I'll be severely disappointed. But until I see the resolution with my own eyes - I'm willing to stick to faith in our pilots.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone! *hugs*
