This was breathtaking! I don't watch the show, but your vids are so good (been watching them since BSG) that I had to give this one a shot and DAMN just brilliant work as always!
Oh thank you dear! Wow, if I managed to move someone who doesn't even watch the show and doesn't know Deb by this vid - it's the best kind of compliment in a way).
And BSG remains my number one show... No other pairing as powerful as pilots out there, to me. I'm actually collaborating on another BSG vid with someone at the moment. I kind of wonder why I never get tired of it))).
Yeah, your vid makes me want to watch the show lOL. I'm thinking about adding it to our LONG list of shows to catch up on.
Boy are you right about that. Lee/Kara was by far one of the best pairings out there. Oh a new BSG vid? I can't wait!!! Hope you don't mind, I'm gonna add you as a friend so I don't miss it :D
Dexter is an excellent show in the first two seasons,, definitely has some writing issues in later seasons but still its dramatic moments make it worth watching for me... And Deb and Dexter's story of course.
Hehe. You sound like me, still excited about anything that has to do with pilots. :D Of course I don't mind :) *friends back*
It was great getting to see this on the big screen in the Premieres show - it's such a great vid, and everyone I spoke to about it really liked it.
You've heard me expound at some length, given that I was lucky enough to see it well ahead of time. I'm so glad you finished it - it's such a strong reflection of the affection you have for Deb; you show not just how she was shaped as a person, but the struggles she goes through - that mix of confidence and ability when she's acting on her instincts and feelings, as well as the hesitancy when she listens to her own fears. And it shows the effect Dexter has on her, and the spiral she's thrown into as a result. Deb's the best reason to watch the show, and you show all the reasons why.
Thank you very much for reccind and commenting Ed! It's a nice feeling to know that you gathered again with other vidders in Cardiff to watch vids together and that I was somehow a part of it too, at least through submitting a vid for premiers
( ... )
Thank you very much for letting me know you enjoyed it! It's such a joy to find that people get moved by the vid! I think there aren't many Deb vids out there and it's a shame - she deserves to be celebrated and seen as a character.
Thanks so much for your feedback! :-) An honest emotional response is the best kind of praise any vidder can get! And yeah, I want to see what's next in the final season of Dexter too. and I'm quite worried about Deb's character. The last trailer confirms that drugs and random sex is her way of dealing with what happened, and it makes me sad... I would really prefer not to see her getting self-destructive and suicidal.
Thank you very much! Yes, Dexter as a show has a very different kind of beauty, occasionally. He-he. Deb tends to feel things deeply so it's a golden mine I think - attempting to convey it through vidding. I'm happy you think the song's fitting. It had been running through my head for months before I had time to sit down and vid it, but yeah I knew long ago that it could be a great Deb vid song ))). So cool that you enjoyed! :-)
