I could use some superpower, too. I could even save the world if I had to. Well, possibly.

They are rebuilding this major intersection right next to my college, and while, paradoxically, it makes the ride TO the intersection shorter (all traffic is blocked, save for public communication, so no gridlocks anymore), I have to spend the saved minutes actually walking THROUGH the intersection because they put the new bus and tram stops in the ( Read more... )

You know several people on my flist have mentioned "Dexter" and for the life of me I have no idea what show this is! It must not be on in the states, or else I'm just clueless and haven't ever managed to catch it when it's on. What's it about, who's in it, and is it worth searching for DVDs when/if they come out? :)

Like, whoa. A good-guy serial killer? Has he begun investigating any of his own killings yet? And yeah, an interesting show no doubt, if it's that good I'll have to check it out on DVD when it comes out (as I doubt I'll be having Showtime anytime soon *g*).

Yes, you do that and you are looking at hours of first-rate entertainment, I kid you not. Seriously, the show is just that good. I can't recommend it enough.

And I live in Poland. I'm pretty sure I will not be having Showtime in a long long time, too ;)

I've been following it from the very start. Which sounds impressive, but really means four weeks. I'm at the same pointas you, though. I have the latest episode waiting for me on my harddrive, but I'm watching this show with my friend and she isn't too fluent in English so she has to watch it with Polish subtitles. And those usually don't pop up until Friday.

I'm absolutely in love with that show. The main character is stellar. 'Dexter' is definitely a keeper.

I'm glad we found something more to squee about together. Perhaps it won't be the 'Supernatural' level of squeeing, but, come on, what could possibly top that?

Heroes is rocking my world at the moment, I loved Peter from the get go and you can imagine how happy it makes me to see the developments concerning his character *g*

Hiro... there's no words for how much I adore Hiro and the whole future!Hiro thing makes watching our!Hiro a new experience, it hurts to think of what he might become/have become and makes me love him even more.

Matt is dealing with his abilit in a pretty impressive manner, I really like that character too.

I just love the whole thing, really :-)

Wow, you're waiting for your friend so that you can watch it together? That's friendship, all right! And not to tempt you or anything, but I thought the latest episode was even better than the previous ones. It's my favourite to date.

You're the second person on my flist who mentioned Brothers and Sisters, I might have to give it a try.

'Heroes' is love, no argument there. It not far far exceeded my expectations (I really thought it was just gonna be a bunch of pretty cardboard people battling a new villain of the Week in every episode - kinda like X-Men) and it genuinely turns out to be the greatest new thing this season. Ok, this or 'Dexter'. Or 'Friday Night Lights'. It's a toss-up.

New 'Dexter' is that good? And it's just one click away. I really could just-- No, I'm strong, I'm a rock, I'll perservere. If I tell myself that often enough it might even start to be true ;)

'Brothers & Sisters' is a pretty decent show. Not great, but the performances are very solid and the family dynamic they have going down there is really nicely done. I does dabble a bit too much in the melodrama, but, on the other hand, with, say, 'Desperate Housevives' practically teetering into the soap opera territory, it's not so bad in comparison. I think it's worth checking out. The pilot is a bit clunky and definitely suffer the First Episode Syndrome but then it gets better.
