'See? Invincible. I can't be vinced.'

It's quite interesting how, since my sister moved to a different country and only pops in for a visit two of three times a year, always bearing very ample gifts, we get along so very well suddenly. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, that's how it went? And the gifts help too.

If a bunch of heavily armed soldiers strutted into my village (which I think is quite rude), I certainly wouldn't be that cheerful like all the Pegasus people always seem to be. Well, I suppose every galaxy has it's own code of conduct.

That bugs me to no end. How do they get away with that?

It one of the most baffling things there. Especially that every other native greets them with 'welcome, peaceful travellers' or something of the sort. To which Sheppard almost immendiately responds that they are friendly (that might or might not be his favorite word). They sure don't look that peaceful to me. Nor friendly.
I get it that Pegasus galaxy is a place of many exotic dangers, but when I come by to someone for a friendly visit, I at least make an effort to have my many devices of mass destruction hidden from sight.

Oh, I'm curious then. If it wasn't an offer for sex, what do you think it was? (Bear in mind that it's an RTD show, too. The chances of it being an offer for sex just rocket up when you think of it that way, let's face it.)

Frankly, I'm still quite puzzled as to what it actually was and I just decided to wait for more conclusive evidence.
The problem is that it was uttered right over Suzie's cold corpse, and was both prefaced and followed by a conversation of quite glum tone. And it was Ianto who said that, who just a week ago was spewing emo-poetry from his very soul because of his dead lover. It just, you know, doesn't fit for me.
Still, I can't really think of any alterantives. I just choose the way of blithful denial. Which is actually pretty hard here since I happen to be denying something that I really want to happen.
Sorry, my mind sometimes just refuses to have any sense.

LOL. No, no, I hear you. I was very thrown by the dialogue, the out-of-the-blue-ness, the where-did-the-emo-go-ness, the over-Suzie's-cold-corpse-ness, until I realised the one way it could work was if they had actually been shagging while Lisa was all Cybercomawoman - which would also explain the intensity of what went on between them two during Cyberwoman. And that this was just Ianto's way of saying, I'm ready to start it again. And also that just because he wanted to shag didn't mean he wasn't all with the angst anymore, just that he was willing to embrace the angst and put it into the shagging. Possibly I've thought about this way too much and need to write a damn fic already.

Oh oh oh, that is good. Mightily good. And it really makes sense. I think I'm going to choose it for my official interpretation, in fact. Screw the canon. Even though, actually, we don't even know for sure what happened in canon - I'm still eagerly awaiting visual proof - so I might fit yet.
Btw, my utter willingness to merrily ignore what's happening in canon in favor of the fanfiction delights, is purely Harry Potter fandom's fault. I think it might have broken me.

If it helps, I think you should write the damn fic already, too.

I didn't believe Jack & Ianto were going to go have sex either until I read the chat transcripts between them on the official Torchwood site. Seems like they're humping to me now. Which I thought is just stupid. Ianto hated Jack for killing his girlfriend so I don't really see how he could just jump into bed with him. Unless Jack is just that awesome.

Yeah, the infamous chat transcript. Felt a bit corny to me, so I'm denying it exists. But the 'King Ianto' bit form 'The Countrycide' follow-up can definitely stay.

Ianto suddenly propositioning Jack - over the corpse of their dead colleague, no less - doesn't fit for me. I might have bought it if it went the other way round, but even the chances for that would have been slim. 'The Cyberwoman' was just four weeks ago. It's way too soon.

Unless there is already some history between them from before 'The Cyberwoman' episode. fan_elune has quite a nifty theory about that in the thread above. It's still stretching things a bit, but definitely makes the whole scene more plausible. That's why I love the fandom so much ;)

110 of Dexter was great.
I just watched 111 the other night, wow!

I'm not a big fan of Rudy, though that might be partly due to the actor. Anyway, he works for what he's supposed to do, so no complaints from me.

Watched 1x11, too. Now, things are really picking up speed, aren't they? That's wow alright.

When you can't enjoy the character that much because the fact that it's a specific actor playing them ruins it? Oh, I've been there. Many times. So I understand you completely.
I have no problem with Christian Camargo whatsoever, myself. I actually even find him strangely hot. That helps too ;)

The last two episodes had me talking at the screen. Heh.

I've only seen him once before, so it's not the actor in that respect... there's just something there that bugs me. He fits the role though so I really should stop thinking about it.

Sadly, the disussion moved into a past tense already, with the man in question meeting his messy tv end. You can stop being vaguely bugged, I can stop being vaguely smitten. Even though I am a bit sad about it. The finale was quite fantastic, but I feel, well, sad.
