Started to catalog all my watched movies on the IMDb and it turned out to be a shockingly tedious process. I'd probably have it all done pretty soon, but if anyone had this uncontrollable fancy to see how I rated the 500-plus movies I managed to put on already, here's the link.

And that is exactly the version I cling to. It's bad enough they killed practically everyone else, Clive Owen has to live.

Children of Men was awesome, and not just for Clive Owen (even though, really, it's unfair someone can be so incredibly hot and such a good actor at the same time!). I loved how the movie staged its most dramatic scenes in such an emphatically anticlimatic and undramatic way - that was really impressive. Didn't like the ending too much, though. I thought they should have cut it off before the boat appeared, but I think that was my only qualm about the movie and, comparatively, it was a small one.

Clive Owen and flip-flops are the perfect combination. They are like whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Mmm. Don't mention Clive and whipped cream in one sentence! :P

'Children of Men' was really incredibly good. Perhaps you're right about the boat, but I guess they wanted to end the movie on a hopeful note. I didn't mind the ending myself though it did feel a bit too abrupt to me. They could have let the last scene go on for ten or fifteen seconds more and fade gently into black. I think that would have been better. It's a nitpick, really, but I just don't like it that much when movies are simply cut off without giving the audience more time to settle down.

Sorry, should have put a warning first. 'Impressionable young things, beware! Spontaneous combustion possible!' ;)
But really, those flip-flops just killed me.

I adored Little Miss Sunshine! Such a wonderful film.

I watched Layer Cake pretty late at night with some friends, out of all of us I got most of what was going on, but I still found the film a bit messy. I did love the ending though.

I wasn't that impressed by Devil Wear Prada. It was an okay movie, but I was actually bored at times.

Supernatural is rockin'!

Glad we agree ;)

I watched 'Layer Cake' with a friend after, uhm, a very merry party. We just had a sudden fancy to watch some movie. At 3 am. Go figure. Anyway, I just remember that we felt a little bit confused as to who actually worked for whom in this movie. As I said we were pretty, well, merry at this point.

The story in DWP wasn't anything even remotely special, but some characters were pretty intriguing. And I've always been fascinated by the fashion world.

Supernatural is rockin'!
Couldn't agree more ;)

I really loved that film.
That scene where the boy finds out he's color-blind. My heart broke for him. That scream of pure agony..
Abigail was great as well, I'm glad she's getting proper credit for her work.

That's pretty much what confused us about 'Layer Cake' as well. I don't remember much, it's over a year since I saw it.

The scene with colorblindness was great, I agree. Actually the boy was particularly great after he started talking.

'Layer Cake' was a movie were practically everyone was doublecrossing everyone. Which is really very good and dandy, but it might be becoming a bit too much if you start to wonder if there isn't perhaps some triplecrossing too.

I LOVED "Devil Wears Prada" -- great acting, excellent characters...I thought they seriously improved on the book. :D And Meryl Streep was a total delight -- she's just so good at everything... ;p

I haven't read the book, but it looks like I made the right choice there and decided on the better (and prettier, and shorter, and more convenient ;) option, that is the movie.
Part od the fun with the movie was actually seeing all those shiny clothes. I have pretty good imagination but I certainly wouldn't manage to get even halfway that far with just a book.

Meryl Streep is a tricky one for me. There's something about her that makes me want to dislike her (have no clue what exactly, I sometimes get liek this, especially with actresses) but no matter how hard I try I just can't because the woman is too damn good. My brain really works in mysterious ways sometimes.
