How much wood would a woodchuck chuck

Is lemongrass intended to be eaten? Or is it like bayleaves, flavor additives that you remove before consumption?

I hope it's the latter, because I can't chew wood. Not effectively, at any rate.

Ah, now I understand the difference. There was just so much woody stuff in this soup that darkmane and I were starting to think we were supposed to eat it--but we just couldn't do it.

I did not think I was supposed to eat it. I just forgot how woody it was or mistook it for green onion.

It was kind of annoying that there was so much.

lemon grass is not for eating, as it is probably pretty close to being completely indigestible. other Thai non-edible flavorings include galanga root and lime leaves (as found in Tom Ka soups). remove before eating, and enjoy!

now you've made me hungry, darnit!
