Why, yes, I do read while I'm brushing my teeth. It's an old family tradition.

And no, kitties, I cannot read through you as you sit on my magazine. It's too bad it's verboten to move cats if they aren't in active peril.

She has this thing about disturbing the cats. Wouldn't want to be callous towards them, after all.

Personally, I think that the little fuzzy buggers can take a bit of being moved around, especially when they're being deliberately obstructive like that. But this obviously means that I'm a cruel heartless bastard, so.... :)

I also believe in moving cats around. They can be comfortable in many more places than I can.

Yeah, tru dat. Plus, my kitty only sits on my stuff to 1) annoy me and 2) get attention. I'm also very sure that 16 pounds of cat is not good for my laptop keyboard....

I often read while brushing my teeth, too. My mom used to make fun of me for it when I was little. I never saw what the big freakin' deal about it was.

I heard my mom on the phone once telling someone that everyone in our household read while brushing their teeth. I didn't think that was unusual either, till I heard that.

I move cats only from the toilet seat--after all, I don't sit on the top of their litter box, do I? Otherwise I just continue as I was, squeezingin next to them on the chair, rolling over in bed, getting up--doing whatever I was going to do with or without them there. I figure that's fair.
