i love you babe. i know we haven't always been that close, but you've been there for some of the big huge turning points of my life that were so inconsequential to anyone but me that it shocks me to think that i had someone there at all, and it makes me really happy that that someone was you. i know shit feels overwhelming right now, and the only consolation i have to offer is that when you are used to making self destructive decisions, and then all of a sudden something changes and you start making good ones (such as the decision to strike out on your own and go to spain and be an independent woman) it can feel a little wrong and counter intuitive because it's so different from what you've been doing all of your life. but i know you, and i know you're too smart to give up when you're doing the right thing. call me sometime in the next few days and we'll hang out.
