Things have settled down and become rather quiet these days. It has been quite a while now for many of us and, clearly, our kidnapper and his accomplices haven't shown their faces. This place, while still most easily described as 'creepy as fuck,' has been eerily quiet and easy to live in overall, and I'm getting the itching feeling that this is

Why would you be interested in 'feeling better?' Are you not well?

Cosette did mention the Carnival to me and that ‘everyone’ would love to see me there. I don’t think she was talking about the guys in the Manor somehow or her ‘friends’ in the Playground. I would have said something earlier but I wasn’t sure if my mind was playing tricks on me back then but I know I saw her shadowy friends and I just get the feeling the kids tricks aren’t the only things we have to worry about.

I am better, better I am. Though the cuffs, they are annoying.
A is... sad. I think, A is sad. And, and he keeps calling me 'B', he does.
[ooc: Lawl, it's nice that he's concerned xD;]

-'B?' Why is that?

And that's precisely why we can't afford to let our guard down.

There's a person here in this house with us who can kill us if they see our faces. It's a pain in the ass and a HUGE hindrance to finding a way out, but- keep sharp.

Are you kidding me? How the hell does that supposed to work?

Well... there's this notebook. And apparently, if you write a person's name in this notebook while imagining their face in your mind, they will die.
You may have been asked before, there's a few of us investigating this one, but- where you come from, have you ever heard of the name 'Kira?'

A wine cellar? Have you checked the bottles? Is there any date written on the labels?

The Carnival seems to be a danger zone. I’d like you to wait before venturing into it.

As for the bottles- the youngest vintages down there are still at least hovering around 50, 52 years. I'm sure that most of it has turned into vinegar already, if not all of it, and and if there's indeed anything left that isn't it's probably headed in that direction. It's all high-quality stuff, good Port and stuff like that, but... All wine turns into vinegar if it's left alone for too long.

I hadn't been planning on it, but even if I were I'm pretty well incapacitated.

How so?

The numbers were a little smudged and grubby, but some of the bottles- the old stuff- looked like it was marked-back as early as 1910. Some of them looked like they were from the 40's and I think that there were a few from the 50's, but it was weird- the more recent the dates got, it almost seemed like the dates had been rubbed-down worse- which doesn't make sense, unless they were tampered with.

It would be stupid and irresponsible of me to throw myself into the Carnival so long as I'm functioning as protection for you, the little L and Near. 'Incapacitated's probably too harsh a word for it, but- I clearly can't check the Carnival myself. Not without looking like a fool.
