So the travel agency has asked us to choose between Penang and Vietnam since Bangkok is fucked right now. Since it's not worth going to Penang we chose Vietnam.
Initially they gave us Phuket but my aunt refused it because it's still in the Thai vicinity.
It still sucks I can't go to Bangkok but also relieved because I bet we'll be stuck there

Er, hi? Sorry, I realise this is shockingly random, but I've just been COMPLETELY mesmerised by an icon someone was sporting, which is credited to you. Um. And so I came to see if you made icons that a person might snag, or anything?
...and, really, could I possibly feel any more sheepish at the social awkwardness of sidling up as a total stranger and saying "Hi! I was hoping to obtain an icon from you! Friend me?" But, eh, that seems to be what I'm saying.
Mind you, I could just sit here and stare at all the Doctor Who and Castiel and Dean imagery, because...gah.

Also - sorry you didn't make it to Bangkok! I'm in Bangkok, and it was all a bit hairy with the airport situation - I bumped into several grumpy stranded tourists, and for a while I was afraid I might not make it back to the UK for Christmas, which would have been a shame. Still Vietnam's supposed to be lovely.
(Er - if you DO make it out here, I'll take you out for cocktails?)

Have you checked out fizzlingwhizbee? That's my icon community and I tend to post all my work there, including the sidebar animations to my right. You can grab as many as you want :)
Wow the bangkok thing was a close shave for you huh? I'm glad you got back safe to the UK for Christmas though. I still need to go to Bangkok sometime soon, that's on my 'unfinished business' list lol.

(PS - really, the airport thing was not so bad - didn't have much of an impact on those of us living here, although the knock-on effects for the economy are a bit of a worry. It was a bit more exciting when we had a military coup within the first couple of months of my arrival. But, Thailand being Thailand, it was a VERY polite and understated kind of military coup, with soldiers being handed flowers. We got a day off work in its honour, though, which was nice.)
