Anne Boleyn is one of the most talked about Queen Consorts in English History and with so many film and television adaptations of Henry VIII, she has developed a mixed view amongst fanbases. To some she is an independent reformist. For others she is a glorified whore. Now, I am not a historian, but I do read plenty on the subject of English Royalty ( Read more... )

The Tudors really made AB into an uber-cunt. I'll never understand why so many people love that version of her. It takes out all the sympathetic qualities of her and made her terrible. I, also didn't care about her until the end because she was innocent of her crimes and I felt bad for her daughter. All the Boleyn's were treated like the ultimate ass-holes.

I'm glad someone agrees with me. :3

Amen! I personally always had a soft spot for Anne of Cleves. She always seemed so cute for some reason and she was genuinely a sweet person.

Anne Boleyn never was like the "feminist" her fans say she is. She did what she did for her own personal gain, not for women or for the people of England. They want a feminist queen? They can look up Eleanor of Aquitaine, Catherine the Great, or Anne's own daughter Elizabeth. Now that's woman power!

I don't hate Anne. At all. But she was not an angelic saint crusading for the good of jolly old England. Thank you for saying that.
