Naruto chapter 402... Yep, fanning. With scans.
SPOILERS LIKE NO TOMORROW FOR CHAPTER 402. You have been warned. And extended personal fanning / rant (?) and words to mangaka. Sort of.
Kishimoto sensei... DON'T DO IT!!! *Sob*
TT_TT DON'T KILL ITACHI!!!
Kishimoto sensei, during the whole time that I've been reading Naruto -- and that's a looong time -- there was only one time that you really moved me... Back when Team 7 was fighting Haku and Zabuza, Sasuke took that deadly (almost) attack for Naruto. I was in love, with the grudging respect and comradeship developing between those two. There was something transcending the personal difference, all the things that seem so important but really aren't in the end.
Which made it kind of disappointing when Sasuke seemingly went off the racker with his obsession with hatred and revenge against Itachi.
Now you have added a second time that you really moved me, and I really want to dislike you for it TT_TT I always wanted to see more of the Uchiha brothers on peaceful terms -- look at how adorable they were back then! -- but this... this... I want Itachi to be alive so Sasuke can kick some sense into him. I think Sasuke would have been happier if Itachi had taken him along. Even if Itachi hadn't done that, don't crash yourself under the world to save the one you love, because the ones left behind are the saddest ones... COME BACK ITACHI DAMN IT!!! Come back so Sasuke can beat you up properly for being such an idiot all these years!!!
Where are the Itachi + Sasuke doujinshis!!?? (Yep, that's a + not a x.)
*Sigh* I find it ironic that I'm getting so worked up over those two, since right before this new development, neither of the Uchiha brothers was on my fav Naruto characters list. It would have probably run like : Naruto (yep you get the first place), Jiraiya, Tsunade, Shikimaru, and on. Favorite villain was always Haku. Even within Akatsuki, it was Sasori, Deidara, then Itachi. (Granted, both Itachi and Sasuke were my #1 fav character at some time in the past.). And the other moving episodes were when Sandaime Hokage died, when Shikimaru avenged Asuma's death, and Jiraiya...
Kishimoto sensei... TT_TT Despite some of the heat you seem to be taking from fans, I think Itachi is/was a great character. It would have been nice if you had added some allusions early on for this latest twist, since all readers/I knew about Itachi was he's a psycho genius, or genius psycho, who could have killed Sasuke two billion times but didn't. Anyhow, thank you.
Jiraiya too. (I'll do him justice another time.)
