What's a desert tower? I think it's not manmade, and it's more rock climber jargon, so explain, bitte!

Also, sounds like an amazing trip! I want to go do stuff like that too. Let's be wilderness vagabonds together. However, I think we'd need to join a wilderness vagabond group, because if it was just us, I bet we'd get lazy and wouldn't want to pitch tents and would stay at motels all the time, which totally negates the "wilderness" part.

Ahh, desert towers. I will post a pictures of them soon. Sadly they are not manmade. If they were then maybe they would have elevators and vending machines and such, which would greatly improve their convenience.

It WAS an amazing trip! And yes! Let's do trips like this! I can be your wilderness vagabond ambassador. We'll start a club of people who want to vagabond it, but also sometimes shower. It will be revolutionary. And there will be squirrels. And chipmunks. And s'mores.

I concur with your previous post re: liking camping and nature yet also liking cleanliness and comfort. Still this does sound like a lot of fun. After doing this crazy stuff and working SO HARD, your exhaustion and resulting sleep/eating always feels so amazing. I miss that. And nature men.

It was heaps of fun, but I think the hotels make the fun possible. All good things in moderation I say. I have met a lot of nature men. If you miss their musky man presence in your life, I'd be happy to introduce you.
