My only caveat would be to ask - how much difference will you make compared to the amount of emotional angst you will feel? I used ALWAYS to bite when someone did this sort of thing, and only later discover that they hadn't given a toss about my reply whilst I'd been feeling torn up inside for weeks/months/years.
Is there any way in which you can post a response which makes it clear that you think this is absolute bullshit, but then not go back and see if anyone has responded to you? And to make the decision not to care whether anyone has responded?
(Oh no, they might build a mosque? EVIL THINGS WILL NEVER CEASE. \sarcasm)
You totally should. It's all about money and funding anyway-people should tick what if anything they believe. If they dint believe they should tick that too. Mid thy believe in fairies they should tick other and write that in.
I was really annoyed too - but the person who posted was a collegue who has to work in my classroom, so serious biting of tongue was required. Of course it's a nasty reply to all those people posting about marking No Religion ( and the next person who tells me to do that is going to get a swift kick somewhere - stop telling me what to do on my census! It's bad enough we're going to be doing them at camp!)
This is why it's so much easier when the kids make horrible comments - at least they're teachable
Those cOmments aren't actually aimed at people who Have a faith. Just those who "a least tick Christianity" when they aren't. If you have a faith you should tick that

This. I mean if one of the kids i'm tutoring or at day care said it i'd turn it into a teaching moment (and I'm pretty sure they have all learnt not to say Gay around me) but these guys are either not going to listen or not care.
Last census I was in a hotel in Townsville working for Defence with three co-workers. We each had different forms but for some stupid reason we decided to fill them out together. Big mistake.
Also a good reason not to fb friend people from work. You find out they are screaming nut-jobs and you still have to be polite to them over the water cooler :)
