The weekend was spent in Newcastle going to Rob's 30th. It's still weird to see my little brother all grown up, it really should stop suprising me at some point. I turn into a sullen teenager around my mother and I'm 52, so... I think it's because she's trapped in treating me that way. She can't release her ideas of power and influence in her children's lives. And disabusing her of that would be painful for her, so there's no real point. But my ability to Keep Myself Nice varies from visit to visit.

Would love to see the Alexander exhibition - I think it's coming to Melbourne later this year?

Yeah, I did pretty well with the Keeping Myself Nice this weekend and they stepped up as well... at least I didn't hear anything about wasting my life this weekend!

Not sure if its coming down to Melbourne or not but I hope so because i'd love to see it again. I do know NGV is getting a Monet exhibit and ACMI is getting a V&A costume exhibit but I don't know what the museum is getting.
