Hello all! This is my first post here. I've been lurking for some time, using my sister's account, but decided just now to come with my own.
So, I was bored... And this is what came up. Please remember that this is just for fun. I have no intention whatsoever to hurt anyone's feelings. It's a little new year's gift for everyone... So, enjoy!
Like I said, this is just for fun. Personally, I never think 13/OW ugly... But, you know...
Like a lot of people, at first I just can't seem to find the reason why she has to exist. Although, after some thinking, I decided that, maybe--just maybe, her existence symbolizes Cameron, and most importantly, House's need for Cameron.
I know
naika7 and perhaps other people have tried to rationalize 13's presence. Yet, I haven't read them since I haven't watched the last 3 episodes...
Anyways, I have my own reasons why I feel optimistic about 13's presence and House/Cameron in general. I know I maybe look too much into it, but I always admire HOUSE for its symbolism and these are the symbols that, I think, support my theory:
1. First of all, from the very first episode (Alone), we can see clearly how House really misses Cameron. He tells 23 that she "remind[s] him of someone," and surely by "someone" he means Cameron. I think this scene symbolizes how House starts seeing Cameron in other women.
2. The Right Stuff: 23 is fired. But let's not forget her number: 23! Meanwhile along comes 13. Both women bear the almost similar numbers: 13 and 23. So, there's this 23, who reminds House of Cameron, and in the meantime, there's also 13, who, as Ausiello put it, "serves the same purpose" as Cameron. 13-23-13-23....
3. From the costume department, just like Cameron is given vest as her signature, 13 has suspender as hers...
4. From 97 Seconds: Did you notice how, as soon as Cameron disappears from the camera and House's view, 13 comes up behind House and says the next line right after Cameron's "I like him better like this. You?" At first House sees the real Cameron in front of him, and when he turns around, he finds another Cameron...
5. Maybe I only make this up, but I swear, according to my reliable hearings, Jen's voice change a little... And sounds more like 13's...
6. Last but not least, this maybe has nothing to do with 13. Yet it's still one of those symbolisms I've seen that boost my season-4 optimism. The old doctor that House works with in Whatever It Takes is an immunologist from Mayo Clinic... And he's the only one that stands between House and that CIA chick doctor...
There you go... My crazy optimistic Hameron theories. Actually, I want to add the 7th reason: Cameron and 13 have never met each other. But I haven't seen the last 3 episodes, so I wouldn't know... (Have they met?)
Again, I maybe look too much into it. Still, HOUSE's writers are some of the best writers I've ever known, and they always fill each episode with symbols, and that's one of the reasons why I love House so much...
Now, would somebody please make a House/Cameron vid with Jesse McCartney's "She's No You"?
