Arthur strode from the knights quarters area, breathing heavily, and not very happy.

He practically ran to the stables, some of his anger wearing off in his hurry.

Gawain hurried to the stable yard, mentally preparing himself for the mission ahead. Reconnaissance didn't worry him particularly, but the thought of Galahad conveniently forgetting that his arm was broken and trying to come along was giving him some considerable concern.

"Gawain," Arthur called, seeing the blond man hurrying to the stables.

"Everything seems to be ready, and I welcome your presence," he said. "As I told Dagonet, this is reconaissance only. Find out exactly what's going on. I will speak to the village elders. If there are enemies out there, we will find them."

He mounted his large white horse, adjusting the stirrups to his liking, and waited for the others to be ready.

Gawain inclined his head. "Understood." He checked his horse over (Jols was an excellent squire, but Gawain preferred to be sure) and swung himself into the saddle. "Ready when you are, Arthur."

"Then lets get this over with," Arthur replied, and with a "yah" to his horse, he galloped out of the stables area, and through the south gates of the wall.

Dagonet followed, as Arthur knew Gawain would as well.

Not exactly sure what he thought he was going to find....Arthur steeled his mind for anything, and rode on, expecting about a half days journey to the small village.
