Books read in 2012

Here's the usual drill, all the books I read this year. I've bolded my absolute favorite/s each month and struck out anything awful. I've read a few more awful things this year due to taking part in LibraryThing's Early Reviewer program, where I'm sent advanced readers.

Holy cow! Quite a list.

The only one on there that I've read is My Lobotomy, which I was just *eh* about.

How was the Alison Bechdel - Are You My Mother? I liked her first book.

Are You My Mother is pretty different from Fun Home. It's much more introspective, she's using a different drawing style, and constantly talking about various psychotherapy ideas (most of which I find silly).

I'm glad I read it, I think, and it's very interesting, but not something I wanted to own or read again.

I really enjoyed The Fry Chronicles, though not quite as much as his book about this school days - Moab is my Washpot.

I have some random things in common with Fry, so I relate to his books a lot. Definitely recommend it for any Fry fan though.

I was happy to see that you bolded Lavinia--I loved it when I read it myself a year or two, but I don't many other folks who have read it.

Yeah, it's definitely no fun to not have enough time for books.

I saw part of the TV version of She-Wolves of England and really liked it so I bought the book but haven't read it yet. I'm looking forward to it!
