That cat would have a very hard living with me because I'd constantly feel the urge to give it a hug and tell it to cheer up. Awww.

Ha, definitely with you on the hugs. I do that to my cat anyway and she does not have expressive eyebrows. I like to imagine that she takes it like a teenager being hugged by their mother, when they're glad for the hug but can't admit it.

Haha, yes, just telling yourself that they actually don't mind is a good way to approach it. I think my cat has pretty much reached a stage of compromising where she just lets everyone hug her for a while, knowing she can't really escape the whole procedure, and only gets (or acts) annoyed after a few minutes.
