questions, questions?

(I've stolen all this text from curiositykate because I am shameless and she is wonderful.)

This post is public so you can be anon if you want. Ask anything you like; if I don't want to answer, I'll just politely decline and I won't be annoyed you asked!

We all know each other on LJ. Some better than others. Sometimes, posts don't say everything about us. ( Read more... )

I don't think anonymous commenting is turned on...

But my question is: are there any superstitions that you still kind of believe even though you know they're illogical? Or any you believed in for longer than you think you should have?

Not superstitions really... I definitely have a thing for not jinxing events. So I won't start getting ready to do something or to have a guest until I know they're on the way. That way if it falls through I've spent less time being excited for it. Likewise with talking about how good the weather's been (when it's been good which isn't now, obviously) because that jinxes it back to being bad.

As far as superstitions like throwing salt and such go I really wasn't aware of them growing up so I never picked them up. I was so confused the first time I heard someone say "knock on wood."

And drat. Anon is definitely on now!

The best change is probably my e-mail friendship with Christine. She commissioned me to make an embroidery pattern for her, we really clicked and just started e-mailed. We've been e-mailing each other long e-mails almost every day for over a year! I love LiveJournal, but it's different when it's a message directly to you ( ... )
