so dec was pretty much a wash in the nofatnattie quest. what with the death of a friend, a house guest for most of the month, lots of driving and thinking i was about to die from ick, i'm surprised i only gained a few pounds, all but about 1.5 of which i've already pooped out the poophole. i'm also coming out of whatever mental ick i was in over ( Read more... )

"i just get SO FUCKING BORED on treadmills & stairmasters, even with music." I do too but right now I'm so cold running outdoors at 6am that I'd rather run on the treadmill. I run 3-4 miles but I break it up into little categories. I'll usually warm up for the first mile and then every quarter mile I'll change the pace a little. Near the end I'll start changing the pace every .05 miles. I don't know if the suggestion will help but it usually helps me when I want to give up.

Also I try to find classes with good instructors to do some sort of cardio thing (like spinning or an ab workout). Then I only need to convince myself to go there and blindly listen to what they tell me to do. With everyone else suffering with me, it is more bearable and most of the time, they are better about constantly switching the work out to keep it interesting or talking through the boring parts.

I am in serious need of cardio, but Gabby just brought her bike to the new house for me to ride to work, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm hoping that I can maybe get in a little running with the dogs, too. Yeah, you need to get that aggression thing out, so you can go Discoskating!
