I like the way you've written this. No introduction, no exposition, just chronicling things as they happen. It feels like it's real, like I can watch it happening.

I used to feel like a failure, because my style of cooking is very basic, with odd little twists here and there (my extensive spice cabinet and collection of sauces. Let me show it to you). Then I realized that people actually LIKE what I make and have favorites that they request. So I must be doing something right.
