It never did sit quite right with me, being friends with his ex.  Especially when she hooked up with his best friend from high school, with whom I had a brief fling...that lasted about seven years, well after we'd all paired off and married

I used to feel like a failure, because my style of cooking is very basic, with odd little twists here and there (my extensive spice cabinet and collection of sauces. Let me show it to you). Then I realized that people actually LIKE what I make and have favorites that they request. So I must be doing something right.
