what an amazing, crazy day and evening to be part of. i was able to spend the evening with wonderful co-workers and friends and we all stood, or sat, in awed wonder, as obama gave his victory speech. i cried. i hugged my friends and colleagues. i am excited for tomorrow and for the next 4 years. yes we can! -

Had an amazing and fabulous vacation over the 4th. My very good friend's (Jenny) parents throw a big party every year and this was the first time I got to attend. I hope all of you had as great of a Thanksgiving as my family and I did! For the first time in, uh, ever, I'm the only one of the 4 siblings not dating anyone. The brothers spent Thanksgiving day with the families of their girlfriends, the sis is in CA and not home until Christmas, so I had my Mom and Dad all to myself. Wow, what a whirlwind month. I alluded to it in my last post, but August was nuts! I had plans every weekend, with the exception of the first, and was either out of town or in town but not home. A very quick post to let everyone know that I am OK (I'm traveling this week), along with everyone I know and love. However, 2 colleagues of my good friend, Mel, still aren't accounted for. Good thoughts for their safety are much appreciated.
ETA - for those of you worried about Peter (crownzeal), he texted me and said he's OK.
