My partner introduced me to baconnaise about a year and a half ago. She'd brought it to Seattle from a trip to Canada. I experienced the terrible wonder that was a bacon cheeseburger with baconnaise and cheddar-filled meat from Whole Foods, and I have been completely ruined ever since. I spent the past year and a half searching for it online and in brick and mortar stores, and even went to a couple of Canadian grocery stores, and never found it. I think that they (I'm pretty sure it was Kraft) discontinued it.
When I found out that a local company was making baconnaise, I nearly fell over myself with joy. I've been looking for it, but apparently they keep selling out. I hope that it is as good as the baconnaise of that so very memorable cheeseburger!
