It hit this week. After many months of telling people I'm getting divorced, and feeling nearly completely even-keeled about it, the darkness has finally descended. I'm not sure what instigated it. Could it have been a weekend full of hot sex, followed by the realization that perhaps that was a poor choice for someone who is already emotionally

Thanks for sharing that Kristen. I know that your situation is different than mine was -- Tolstoy was right, every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way -- but I know from your description of how you're feeling that there are a lot of similarities as well

I recommend _Healing Through The Dark Emotions_ by, I believe, Miriam Greenspan. I found it, not comforting, but full of tools I needed to handle a maelstrom of emotions without trying to run from them.
