Someone please explain Donnie Darko to me. I saw it a while ago and didn't really catch what all the fuss was about. Not to mention the weird para-ET flashbacks at certain parts of the film

do you mean you don't understand the movie itself, which is trying to be very existential and kind of failing, or you don't get the fuss?

if you type "donnie darko explained" into google, you get a gazillion pages that tell you all about time travel and so on.

I think, as far as Donnie Darko and lolcats, if you don't just get/like them, they can't be explained. I myself am not a fan of lolcats all that much (though I did like Donnie Darko).

Elastic guides = for people who don't get charts and measuring (and thus should probably not be making clothes...)

My person favorite, as far as bathroom antics go, is when you have the door or stall locked and someone tries to come in, then they knock and ask "is someone in here?" UGH!

I liked Donnie Darko, but I don't think it deserved the huge fuss it received.
