Next week, when I'm between jobs, there's a few things I have to get done. I have to find university jobs. I have to find informational interviews for places I'd like to work. I have to find volunteer work in a field I want to break into. And I have to go to UMass Boston and/or the local community colleges to decide if I can handle school ( Read more... )

I ran into the problem of the costly tests myself a couple of years ago.

I am not sure if the department of vocational and rehabilitation services in MA is of any use now as opposed to two years ago, but that's the department in RI that helped me get tested for my learning disability.

important consideration: financial aid! whether you choose a community college or umb, i'm sure you're eligible for some aid, and looking at what kind of aid you'd get will be another thing to look at when deciding what's best.
