Dead people

News reports of Ricardo Montalban's death keep saying he was best known for "Fantasy Island".

Bull. Shit.

Also, everybody's favorite long-wig-wearing Mel-Gibson-antagonizing gay-lover-killing too-sick-to-be-a-real-wizard ex(?)-secret-agent non-number free man died yesterday.

Wishes and personal preferences do not make this false. Fantasy Island is much better known than any single Star Trek movie, even though the Star Trek franchise is far better known.

I agree it's weird. I know nothing of this "Fantasy Island" thing and consider Khan one of the best known Star Trek villians.

Precisely. I'd say Khan is the Star Trek villian, and my other knowledge of early-80s TV is minimal.

I'd say "the Borg", or "the Romulans" or maybe "the Klingons" are better known villains, but it's not quite the same thing.

I have some (vague!) memory that Harley and Freq had their department pictures taken wearing pennyfarthings.
