I'm so confused. Could someone please, PLEASE explain the rationale behind being opposed to same-sex partnerships having a legal status resembling that of heterosexual marriage, without mentioning the Bible or "God's Will" or "Jesus said so"??? Please? I need some answers, man ( Read more... )

Well, you just aren't with the program, is all. You fail to realize that 'marriage' is an vague and shify entity that needs protection in the same way as kobolds, gnomes, and trolls do. Thus, I propose that we also pass a Unicorn Protection amendment, so as to keep the unchaste of any persuasion from riding them...

I'm more of a gnome person, myself. They build such cute little houses! They must be protected from bone-smugglers! DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN.

Too bad people have their heads in the SAND...don't want to accept anything which is a bit different to them, but the time is coming when there will be same-sex partnerships, and "splits" as it is with marriages. Remember a time when inner-marriages were not accepted? Well, I assume it takes time for same-sex marriages to be accepted, but with same problems which we presently endure in life...
