I'd been eyeing Ocala national forest for Tilt's spring camping trip, since he'd been looking for an alternative to Ichetucknee, but he's cancelled till the fall trip.
Anyway,tried there yet?

I've had bad luck hiking in Ocala National Forrest. It seems to be a haven for a lot of homeless off of the trails and at the primitive camp sites.

If you were Mormon, I could give you an easy answer of a place to go nearby Orlando. Unfortunately, the only places I know of that fit your description are in Wyoming.
