Thirty-eight: Serious fighting

[Zell and Selphie are having a deadly serious fight in the kitchen, armed with spatulas. No silly fencing is this---they're dodging, feinting, and even making the occasional jump and strategic change in position. Finally, Selphie gets a deathblow in with her spatula, marking Zell's cheek with pancake batter. He falls dramatically. ]

Hey, did we quadruple or quintuple the batch? I can't remember.

[Selphie looks away, making a face.] Fffft, I don't even know. I think we quintupled it?

It doesn't matter, I guess. We're going to have a serious amount of pancakes.
