Fifteen: ......

I'm exhausted. Really, seriously exhausted.

I'm not exactly regretting letting Dante stay here. I'm just not sure if I can keep up with him any longer. He had an inhuman amount of energy, he doesn't sleep much, and he's always running around stirring up trouble. It wouldn't be so bad if we were still invisible, but he attracts a lot of attention ( Read more... )

Zell...you realize you're always welcome with me, right? And if you want me to have a talk with this Dante guy---[pauses, frowning]---I can't say that he's on my list of favorite people anyway.

I know. I just don't want to dump my problems on you. You don't need any more.

[nervous smile] No, you don't need to talk with him. I don't want you guys getting into a fight. I just need to work on a nice way to tell him he's making me very tired.

I consider you a friend, Zell---your problems are my problems, so on and so forth. Let me know if there's anything I can do, okay? Even if that's just warding the hell out of my spare bedroom so that you can get a full night's sleep.

Thanks. [smiles at Sam]

...That spare bedroom is actually sounding really attractive about now. Tomorrow night, maybe? I'm entering Dante's contest, because an idea that gloriously insane deserves some participants. Besides, you never need to know when you're going to have to steal stuff. Good practice.

I'll leave compensation for the socks, of course, but don't tell him that.

[frowns slightly] I didn't say I was. I just said I wasn't sure how to handle it.

Anyway, it doesn't matter if I'm interested or not. He's only teasing.

The sooner you tell him, the better. ... it could be tough to tell him, but it's worse to keep him in the dark, isn't it?

And... you could stay with me for a while, if you want.

It's amazing how hard it is, considering I'm basically only saying "I NEED SOME SLEEP AND SPACE, HERE." I hate telling people no.

Thanks! I might take you up on that someday, especially if there turns out to be another epic showdown in my apartment. Or our apartment. I guess it's his now too, since he's helping pay rent.

That doesn't surprise me.

The offer's free for you to grab whenever you want to take it. I'm living in a house by myself, so it wouldn't be a problem.

I may grab it someday. I like sleepovers.

... Huh. Where've I heard this before... Or rather, why does he sound a little like a certain vampire I know.

Except that hitting-on part. She was a bit too naive for that.

... Vampire? There were vampires in your world? Wow, I'm not sure how I would handle that. Probably very nervously.

I'm going to tell him I need to sleep a lot more then I am now. Hopefully that'll go a long way towards fixing things.

Two kinds, actually. She was the kind that was all right. It was the others that're more traditional, and that ya wanna watch for.

Telling that type of person usually doesn't do too much. Still, it's worth a shot; there's that little chance they're actually listening to you, after all. Juuuust watch out for counterattacks.

Ha, probably a good thing I'll probably never see your world. I'd be a tad paranoid about... everything. XD

I think he might listen if I phrase it right. It's not that he doesn't care or is cruel. Just kind of clueless.
