Semi-fluency is never a negative, in that it can all ways be turned in to a positive. The simplest advice i can give is to practice business and economic relations. Translators are welcome in every field. I'm sorry I don't have a solve-all answer for you, but things all ways develop the way they are meant to. Your knowledge will serve it's purpose.

Hey Cameron, I know I don't see you much anymore but nevertheless I thought I might offer some advice. Teaching in Japan for a couple years would be a great experience and should increase your fluency even more. After that you should be able to get a job in many fields where Japanese translation is needed. One of the best fields I can think of is the gaming industry. I'm not sure how you would go about getting one of these jobs but I know that there is definitely a need for translators.
