Another day of rest...

I no longer feel feverish, but it's been replaced by a really bad cough. My throat isn't really sore anymore (though I'm not sure if that's the medicine or not), but I still have no voice. In fact, my voice has gone downhill. I'm forced to whisper which is technically WORSE for my vocal chords. Blah. Here's hoping my doc can figure out what this is ( Read more... )

Ohh hey look into a Darden restraunt, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Baby acupulco. They all make good tips and have great benefits, including tuition reimbursment programs. And they are everywhere. They also normaly wll do restraunt transferrs if possible

Waitressing... tigerlady1974 May 17 2005, 11:24:53 UTC
I waitressed at a steak buffet place for 2 years during college & it was great... instant cash in the form of tips (but you have to save *some of it* and put it in the bank... not blow it)... and you have the right personality for it. They usually work well around college class hours too. If you get/find a roomie - you can make it work.

Why is Anja & Natalya gonna be missing????

Ahh...the days dave_the_pak May 17 2005, 15:13:17 UTC
Ok, glad your head has not exploded or you did not have to send your neck our for repairs....

Dont worry about your voice...there is a lot more to a character than their voice....supporting, physicallity, being part of a group, and a lot of possibilities in silent bits...(oh, the ideas).

I remember working as a delivery driver (I was ok at this) and a waiter in school (I really sucked at that) and it was ok...mainly I saved a lot of money in food ;)

best of luck, and hope you feel better.

Good for you, sweetie! Waitressing would be great for you, and it really is good money. Gotta run, I'll try and call you later.

My sympathies on the voice problem. I've got the same crud and it's going on two weeks now that I've had either laryngitis or a raspy, creaky voice.

Hey, well the parade may not be the same without your melodious voice, I'm sure that you can work up some silent bits with other folks.
