WHY WHY WHY WHY WY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY do you gain weight so quickly after a week of unhealthy eating while it took you 3 months of marathon training exercise to lose that same weight?
This documentary is awesome with the wealth of information on the subject. Even though marathons are probably the toughest mental and physical feat, it doesn't actually burn as many calories and you would think. Loosing weight and trimming pounds is predominantly related to diet, whereas maintaining body weight and overall fitness of your body is related to exercise. Your body probably is still incredibly fit and conditioned to run a marathon, but your one week of unhealthy eating is what more than likely triggered the undesired gain in weight. I'm sure you're doing so much better than your giving yourself credit for, and its important at this point to look at this minor setback not as a failure but as another hurdle to overcome and champion yourself through.
Besides, I've never seen you to be bigger than a twig any time that I've seen you. Don't stress over it.
Thanks Paul! Your answer took it to the next level! I wasnt expecting that! I actually didnt gain weight. I lost 2 pounds (muscle loss). But my face is back to being as round as the moon. Its not really the skinniness that I'm after. It's the mature look. short stature + baby face + round face = people thinking you're 12 years of age. I'm dang close to being 25! People still get surprised that I'm no longer in high school. Since this has been going on for well over 5 years, I decided to do some drastic changes on my appearance by adding a little definition here and there. Well.. I lost them within a week! Good insight though. I'll definitely watch what I'm going to be eating the next year.
