I just found out some shocking news that I dont know how to handle.....

last friday, jon theodore quit the mars volta for good.......

I dont know what to think about this....

thats the look on my face too, but the guy that replaced him was actually the drummer that played the first demos with the mars volta and has been playing since he was 8.....so maybe it will be an improvment...no telling, it just means that I have to go see them live again...and they pushed back the release date of amputechture so maybe it will get revamped and will be a entirely different album....I'm excited, with these guys, things can only get better.

Too many bleeps and bloops for me to steadily enjoy their music anymore. I loved their first CD, and I must admit I think At the Drive-In is one of my favorites, but I think they are getting a bit too full of themselves. Perhaps this new CD that I have yet to hear is worth the time, but if I hear another twenty minute bleep and bloopfest I am going to throw up in my mouth.
