yeah, and the thing about universally shared experiences is just it, sitting in the adverb all the time - a label of universality put on something implies that the whole assortment of individual sentiments has to go for the sake of hailing the universal. perhaps this is why universal moments are so rare and usually linked to rather unpleasant events, as only that kind of event is likely to cue similar emotional reactions in a majority of people. when a critical mass is achieved, any thought which counters the current is considered inappropriate enough to be wiped out.

by the way, in case you wondered, wrapping a pair of carets around text is my rendering of sarcasm font.

sure, there's so much more notions typography could convey! although let's keep in mind that adding new symbols to the mix - like i do with my quotation marks, which come in six types and with a side of rules. - could seriously confuse those readers who aren't as oh_cee_dee as me regarding punctuation. (perhaps i don't give enough credit to people in this department, but it seems that the general interest in punctuation is lower than average.)

Dude, I heard the report on the radio, misheard or misinterpreted it or something, thought it was more hoo-hah about the Tampa scandal in Australia and hit "snooze".

But... yeah. Always more than one side.
