bringing down the hammer

Once again respect to Richard Dawkins for matching the total raised on justgiving.com to pay for a bus advert to counter all the evangelical christian ones you see around now. I cant wait to see a bus with "THERE'S PROBABLY NO GOD. NOW STOP WORRYING AND ENJOY YOUR LIFE" on the side, and as i think evangelical christianity is like a slow acting ( Read more... )

haha nice.. although its very hypocritical to critisise evangelicalism, then respond in exactly the same manner..

the world would be a a better place if people kept their beliefs to themselves. And that goes for all religions, including atheism. The desire to convert other peoples way of thinking is the root of many of the worlds problems.

yeah your totally right there, its just nice after so much christian bullshit all around to see a point of view thats not spoken by many expressed. but you are right that people would be better if they never tried to impose their beliefs on anyone else

i suppose its not spoken normally cos an athiest doesnt gain anything by converting another to atheism.. whearas religious people think they're saving someones soul and earning themselves brownie points. it does make me wonder why dawkins is on such a mission though.. i wonder if he had overbearing religious parents

Yeah but it's probably counter-productive to be fair.

I think this'll find it's way into a few pulpits as a "sign of the times" speech "...and children are raping their own mothers."

There's loads of Jesus crap knocking about though. The other day I was on the Kettering Road doing about 70mph and I saw a massive billboard saying something about God. The main text was really large but the other text was really small, I glanced over to read it but it made me really unsteady and I nearly crashed my motorcycle. It was from a thing called the 'alpha course', which is some christian thing.
