Well, he wasn't sure what he was doing, exactly, but he sat near Cherrygrove city's edge, sprinkling the small blue bulb with water. Like any other plant, the little plant-like pokémon seemed rather excited to have the water splashed on it. It was just too endearing that he didn't have a problem spending a good half an hour playing with the little thing and a water bottle.
It was during this time of little play that he spotted the new figure walking towards the edge.
...and she... or he... looked absolutely terrified. Kitora waited until the person moved closer before calling out, his voice deep but calm enough.]

With the sunglasses obscuring his eyes, Machi was free to direct his sight anywhere and get away with being 'blind'--his face may have turned roughly toward Kitora's position, but he was in fact glancing hastily behind him, checking to be sure the dog was nowhere nearby. Then he raised one hand to his chest, as though asking silently the immediate question:

Now, Kitora wasn't normally the type to offer help. Years of teasing and an intimidating presence tended to turn people away from him. But his eyes, hidden behind that curtain of moss-colored hair, were glued to the peculiar swirl on the stranger's head. It reminded him of an overlapped calla lily.
He nodded, holding up a hand to wave.]
